I am a freelance costume designer and technician, as well as a visual artist from Grand Rapids, MI. I am currently pursuing my MFA in Costume Design at Illinois State University.
As a designer, I believe it is my duty to represent characters that garner empathy and challenge the audience to confront their own biases. I am dedicated to the creation of a collaborative environment that harnesses creative energy and advocates for underrepresented voices. As a queer woman of color, I commit to using my experiences to educate, empower, and inform audiences about current social justice issues that impact our communities.
I plan on moving to a bigger city once I graduate from Illinois State University. In either New York, Chicago, or Los Angeles, I will pursue my dreams of designing for film, television, and theatre.
